The role of a Sales & Education Executive is to have a passion for people and services, with experience in retail, artistry, and education. The candidate must be a strong seller, with the ability to recruit, consult and build a sale while adhering to our retailer’s guidelines and standards. The Sales & Education Executive must have the ability to successfully plan and conduct events and trainings virtually and at store level. They should possess effective communication skills, execute timely reporting practices, and build collaborative relationships. Excellence in client service, artistry and working in an entrepreneurial environment is critical to the success of this role.
SALES
Responsible for the achievement of retail sales plan and corporate KPI for the region
Ability to develop and implement focused strategies to drive results, in line with corporate objectives.
Drive sales at store level
Effectively negotiate with store stakeholders to elevate the brand presence in-store
Build collaborative relationship with retailers and key stakeholders in-store
Complete weekly and monthly reporting on sales, market insights and happenings
EDUCATION
Delivering best-in-class education to elevate brand awareness through in-store trainings and virtual trainings
Work with leadership to plan FY training plans to boost brand awareness, encourage knowledge retention and to constantly engage the retailer BAs with the brand
Localize/provide translations to global training decks to suit your market
Ability to drive knowledge retention through training plans
Plan artistry contest for retailer BAs
Plan and host masterclasses for consumers and cast members alike
MISCELLANEOUS
Effectively manage budgets within guidelines
Accountable for completing all administrative assignments by respective due dates
Manage marketing execution in your market (not limited to GWP/loyalty program)
Report VM discrepancies verses plan
Sharing local market insights and what is trending
Maintain overall counter hygiene and brand image
TIME BREAKDOWN
Tuesday – Saturday work week
Admin time: 1-2 days per month
In-store time: 4-5 days a week
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Minimum 5 years of cosmetic retail experience in a sales/education supervisory position
Experience in a Sephora environment is very much preferred
Candidates who have any form of make up certification will be very much preferred
Possesses great negotiation skills
Language proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
Experience managing at least a 10 million+ market while driving a successful business
Proactive, self-motivated, possesses effective communication skills and is goal oriented
Ability to make strategic decisions based on sales analysis
Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships
Entrepreneurial mindset, positive, and has a professional presence
Comfortable working in a Sephora environment
Comfortable working on an iPad on the go (mainly Outlook, OneDrive, PPT, Excel)
Able to do periodic travel when necessary – this will be aligned with leadership
This role reports to the Regional Sales & Education Manager, APAC.
